English as a Second Language introduces students to the opportunities and requirements for a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language; the social, cultural, and religious factors that influence the effective acquisition of a second language; and principles, methods, and techniques of effective second-language instruction in a mission context. Emphasis is placed on the role of speaking the English language in the Christian ministry. The course is designed mainly for new migrants, Missionaries and Evangelism.
